Dream

In my dream I walk in a city,
I do not know where I'll reach?
Glimpses of it seems like I've been here,
Lonely buildings in the shadows with nowhere to hide,
No friends or people to call my own,
Alone in solitude with no home,
Reality is not allowed into my dream,
Yet, no different, bleak with no hope,

Lonely I roam,
Oblivious existence my doom,
Never safe am I within any room,
Reality and dream have conspired to leave me alone.
