Heaven Knows

Twists  and turns,
The road I am on,
Surrounded by homes,
Of people I've never known,

Strangers pass me by,
Thoughts of their own,
The Sun sparkles on,
Inconsiderate of those below,

Trials and effort,
Goals to reach,
Forced to conclusions,
By others greed,

Kids play cricket,
Attempting to take a wicket,
The trick is to remain united,
But, each to himself, plays divided,

I wipe the sweat off my brow,
As I watch a flying dove,
It flies past a grazing cow,
Heaven knows, How shall I reach home?
