Pain

Pain is an indispensable part of him,
Pleasure he has learnt to forget,
Floating in a sea of pain,
The lonely man, alone he remains,


No one to share with,
His emotions suffocate,
All colours mixed together,
Only black remains,

Seeing a mirage in the desert,
The survivor imagines he is safe,
Caught in the web of his delusion,
The spider bites, pain drips into his vein,

Hallucination is an addiction,
Painful memories a seduction,
Lonely man does not want resurrection,
He has now accepted rejection.
